Description:
The Presbytery of St. Augustine was founded in 1985 after the merge of the Suwannee Presbytery (PCUS) and the Northeast Florida Presbytery (UPCUSA).

The presbytery currently has 63 churches in the surrounding counties of northeast Florida in Duval, Clay, St. Johns, Taylor, Hamilton, Suwannee, Levy, Columbia, Alachua, Bradford, Marion, Nassau, Putnam and Flagler counties. The presbytery also has two new church developments underway in Fleming Island and the World Golf Village.

The presbytery has over 150 minister members and over 20,000 congregational members.

The Presbytery of St. Augustine is a member of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) and is within the Synod of the South Atlantic.

We provide practical assistance to the elderly, the disabled, and recipients of public assistance, as well as the "working poor" who are vulnerable to economic crises and have fallen between the cracks of other programs.
